Already Qualified as a Diver?

If you are already qualified as a scuba diver (BSAC, PADI, NAUI, SSI etc), Birmingham 25 offer a warm welcome. Approximately one-quarter of our active members hold diving qualifications from diver training agencies other than BSAC, most commonly at PADI Open Water Diver or Advanced Open Water Diver levels.

Becoming a member of a BSAC branch or club can offer many advantages: 'buddies' to go diving with, sources of help and advice, shared experiences, social events, regular meetings, further diver training and organised dive trips. A major strength of the BSAC system is the time and effort given freely by enthusiastic instructors and members for the benefit of all.

Diving in the UK

If you learned to dive abroad, please don't be tempted to think that our British waters are cold, murky or not worth diving.

There is much colour and varied life around the British Isles and because of our long maritime history and association with the sea, these waters provides us with some of the most interesting dive sites in the world.

Your diving qualification

The BSAC system recognises the diving qualification(s) that you have already achieved, and as a member or guest you can immediately start diving with us at a level appropriate to that certification.

And if you want to, you can also continue your diver training with BSAC. You will join our training programme after the nearest equivalent BSAC grade, and work towards the next higher diver qualification.
